If you’re good at something & you love it enough to do it day in & day out, then you can make a business from it. If you’re passionate about what you do & you believe in it, all you need is some direction. If you’re willing to work hard & continually learn, you will succeed!

I’m about providing you with simple, bite-sized business principles that work. They’ve either worked for me in my businesses or they’ve worked for others. They’re doable for busy moms.

I want to motivate you, inspire you, & encourage you. We all have times where our motivation wanes, especially us ladies, but I’m convinced it’s hormone related & that means it won’t last forever. So when you’re having a particularly crappy, hormonal, “I can’t do this” day, I hope that you’ll be able to come here a get a big dose of “Oh yes you can girlfriend!”.

I don’t think business needs to be difficult or only for those with business degrees. You can work your way up. You can build a business that either supplements your family’s income or supports your family entirely. You can create a business that’s a one-woman show that makes you $80,000 a year or you can create something that requires many employees & makes millions. It all depends on what you want.

This Is Me

I’m married to a WONDERFUL husband & we have 3 little guys to care for & train up to be great men of integrity. They are my life & my #1 priority. I went to college, became an RN, & worked until my first little man was born. From then on I stayed at home with him & I’ve never looked back. This is what I’ve chosen for my life & I’m going to make it fun & enjoyable. If you want to get to know my on a more personal level, feel free to check out my site… The SIMPLE Abode!

When I decided to stay home, it was a big cut in our income, but I decided that it was worth it. I didn’t want to look back in 15-20 years & regret choosing money over investing in my kids. I’m a creative, capable woman & I’ve always found ways to make extra money here & there doing things that I love… things that I wouldn’t get to do if I were working 12 hour shifts 4 days a week.

At some point I decided to settle into one thing {although that’s a huge challenge for me} & pursue it as long as I kept it in perspective. I don’t have all the time in the world to work on my business & grow it as quickly as it could grow, but luckily, it’s not something my family is depending on. It’s totally for me & at this point in my life, I’m okay with growing it slowly.

I’ve met so many moms who want a business of their own that works with their life & family, but they didn’t know where to begin or where to go once they got started. So I decided to start sharing what I was learning about business with others because I felt I had something to contribute.

I’m there.

I’m doing it.

You & I… we’re a lot alike.

I have fabulous, over-the-top, go-get-em days & I have those bummery, no energy, I’m ready to give up days… just like you. Together we can learn from each other & we can encourage each other. We can do what we love, we can make good money at it, & we can do it without sacrificing our families in the process.

I don’t have all the answers & I make a lot of mistakes too.

But my commitment is to share the very best of what I’m living & learning with you & to keep it as authentic & honest as I go!
